Day 1:
You arrive on Jaskólka Estate and at the end of the day there will be a briefing from the supervisor. He will explain in English what to expect and what we expect from you. After dinner you will enjoy a good night sleep.
Day 2:
Everyone will choose a Tinker. To acquaint you with your Tinker there will be a trip today from 2 to 3 hours. Back at Jaskólka there will be evaluated and any struggles discussed.
Day 3:
During breakfast at 07.00 o’clock you make your own packed lunch ready. Around 08.00 o’clock you make your horse ready so that the real work can begin. You drive through the forest of Jaskólka Estate direction the castle of Wlen. When you reach the top of Jaskólka Estate you can see with good weather the Giant Mountains. The first part you will mostly drive through the woods and you will cross Lupki. You are climbing at about 450 meters high and looking back you can see the three hills of Marczów. When the weather permits and you are interested you can as a group talk to your supervisor to visit this castle. The owner of the castle comes from Belgium who bought it in 2000 and the restoration of this is a work for life that you can imagine! The castle is very nice with his vegetable garden and orchids.
A little further you go to 480 meters. This is a nice spot called Wletrzik where an antenna is placed. At this point you’ll probably have your lunch.
Afterwards we go down but first we ride through a swampy area and when the weather is hot there will be a lot of butterflies and dragonflies. We go further down the valley where the main river of this region is, namely Bobr. You pass Piaskowice and drive to the village Pilchowice. Continue along the river Bobr until you reach the dam built between 1904 and 1909 when this area was still under Germany.
We climb back into the rocky area “Dziki Wodospad and further to the ruins of Zamkowa Góra and reach a height of 400 meters. Here are two views ‘Dziewicza & Gora Kaczmarka near the village Radomice where you will stay overnight. People in Poland like their cakes and pastries and from experience we can definitely recommend it to taste if it will be presented.
Day 4:
After breakfast and making lunch for the day we continue our way back to the Bobr because it is necessary to cross the river to come to the other side of the valley. The first part you also passed yesterday.
To tell you something more about this area it is necessary to go back in history, namely the end of the second World War. After the war the Germans had a debt paid to Poland and they gave back that piece of ground so this area is added to Poland. During the same period Poland had to give a part to Russia. The people who lived there in large numbers moved here (migration) to settle in this region.
When we arrive at the Bobr we go left towards the crossing which is across an old Bailey-bridge. On your right side is a very big house with a manicured garden and many high fences. This is a mental hospital.
As we passed Nielestno we go climbing into the woods through the valley of “Sow Dolinie” which means “the valley of the owls”. These come here in great numbers. During the day you will probably not see them, but when you sleep with the window open you will surely hear a few “hooo-uh, hooo-uh”. Here we spend the night!
Day 5:
During breakfast you realize that this is the last day of this track already. This ride will lead you through beautiful nature and mainly through the woods. On departure we climbed straight up to a height of 400 meters. You see a hill that is an old volcano called “Ostzyga” and that is at 501 meters. This hill you can climb another time.
After this climb we go down quietly so your concentration is required here!! Once again we are back up to the hills to overcome and then coming out of the woods you can see the three hills of Marczów again. We have to cross the Bobr again and that we will do in Marczów. We pass an old state farm in which many families are living. We cross the fields and arrive at Jaskólka.
We wait for you with a delicious snack and a Polish BBQ to make a nice end to your trip.
Day 6:
Today you will return back home, we assume that you’ve had a great time and nice experience. For those who want to stay a little bit longer can try to book extra nights.
Of course we hope you enjoyed it and tell your horse friends what a unique piece of Poland you have seen from a horse-back.
